RE Chris Dangles, MD - musings on his political contributions & my plan to talk with FBI re possible "medical fraud" by Dr. Dangles

Ahhh, I love the smell of a good election season. I become more interested in what the lobbying organizations and Political Action Committees (PACs) are presenting in the media as sincere political ads that express concern for patients.

But the Illinois State Medical Society, the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons are not so sincere about the needs of patients. These organizations' primary impetus is to protect its doctors at any cost - even at the cost of the injured patient.

Interested patients should take the time to look up their physicians and surgeons on NewsMeat.com (http://www.newsmeat.com)

Then compare that information to

1. your physician's and surgeon's donation of time and resources to medical charities;

2. your physician's and surgeon's participation as presenter or speaker at peer-review professional seminars;

3. your physician's and surgeon's donation of time and resources to local community involvement;

4. your physician's and surgeon's IDFPR (Illinois) or other state licensing web-site to ascertain lawsuit information, felony and misdemeanor information;

5. check your local county circuit clerk office and search for your physician's name. You may learn of medical malpractice lawsuits filed against your physician.

It seems like time to update on the amount of Chris Dangles, M.D.'s political contributions. I also checked the Champaign County Illinois Circuit Clerk's public web-site. In so doing, I can access the past and pending malpractice suits against Dr. Chris Dangles - at least the ones filed in that court.

Interestingly, an expert in the field suggested that I contact the federal authorities (FBI) and explain what transpired with Dr. Dangles' questionable care and treatment of me. The expert indicated that federal authorities will prosecute certain cases as medical fraud cases.

My explanation to the FBI would obviously include Dr. Chris Dangles' admissions in the discovery deposition that I (the patient) manipulated him into performing an otherwise unnecessary third surgery and, further, that Dr. Dangles did not know why I fell down post the repeated ankle surgeries although he suspected that I had an alcohol problem and inappropriately combined prescribed pain medication with prescribed anti-depressant medication. Of course the whole line of answers (manipulation, alcohol, drug abuse) were never charted or even communicated with me or any member of my family or friends.

After I complete the most current nerve block and surgery treatments, I anticipate that I will contact the appropriate FBI office to discuss a possible medical fraud case against Dr. Chris Dangles. The statute of limitations may be over for physician discipline. But the SOL is not over for the pain and corrective procedures that I have undergone and still face today. To be continued . . .

First things first ---- where does my (first) orthopedic surgeon Chris John Dangles, M.D.'s time, efforts and resources go? I cannot locate any charitable or professional activities (other than lobbying for tort reform in Washington DC)

Hmmm, interesting similarities and glaring omissions in professional activities speaks volumes about Dr. Dangles' apparent concerns and priorities.
